Captured from the abandoned halls of a once-grand hotel overlooking Lake Prespa in North Macedonia, this photograph is a reminder that nature quietly carries on, regardless of what we leave behind. Surrounded by broken glass, crumbling walls, and decades of neglect, we looked out across the still water to a scene that couldn't have felt more peaceful.
As morning mist softened the distant mountains, a lone fisherman drifted silently across the vast expanse of the lake, completely unaware of the forgotten building watching over him. It was a striking contrast—a place slowly falling apart, overlooking a landscape that felt timeless.
The hotel may one day be restored, but this moment belongs to the chapter in between. A fleeting glimpse of everyday life unfolding beyond the ruins, captured from a place that had almost been lost to time.
