Blue Ice
Born from one of Iceland's most extraordinary landscapes, Blue Ice was photographed on the shores of the Jökulsárlón, where ancient ice begins its final journey to the sea.
Fragments of glacier break away and drift silently through the lagoon before washing ashore on the black volcanic sands of Breiðamerkursandur, more commonly known as Diamond Beach. Sculpted by the ocean, each piece becomes a crystal-like form—no two are ever the same, and none remain for long.
This photograph captures one fleeting moment in that journey. A fragment of ice, shaped over centuries, preserved for only an instant before nature reclaimed it.
It is a reminder that some of the world's most remarkable places are defined not by permanence, but by constant change.
